Canadian soprano Myriam Leblanc is celebrated for a voice of remarkable purity, warmth, flexibility, and expressive power—equally at home in the worlds of opera, bel canto, and Baroque music. As critic Christophe Huss has described it, hers is a voice of extraordinary transparency and beauty, calling her “perhaps the most beautiful” voice to emerge from Quebec in the past decade.
A recipient of numerous honours, Leblanc won First Prize and the Audience Choice Award at the Trois-Rivières Symphony Orchestra Competition, the Audience Choice Award in the Canadian Opera Company’s Center Stage competition, the Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal Excellence Grant, and First Prize at the 2017 Mathieu Duguay Early Music Competition.
A sought-after concert and oratorio soloist, she has performed with Les Violons du Roy, Tafelmusik, I Musici de Montréal, Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Orchestre Métropolitain, Ensemble Caprice, and other leading ensembles. Her repertoire ranges from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, St. John Passion, and Magnificat to Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Vivaldi’s Dixit Dominus, and Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang.
On the operatic stage, she has appeared with Opéra de Montréal, Opéra de Québec, and other major companies in works including Rigoletto, Svadba, Aida, Carmen, Parsifal, and Dido and Aeneas.
Her acclaimed discography includes Amour fou (2024), Israel in Egypt (2023), Écho et Narcisse (2022), and Vivaldi’s Luce e ombra (2021).
